 Not as described - different hook May 14, 2012

The product differs from that shown. The leash itself it constructed well with double handle as described. The hook itself is not as shown in the picture. The photo of the product shows a "C" style hook, and the product itself is a standard "a" style hook. I find that the standard hook tends to break down faster in the spring. I purchased this item mainly because of its double handle design with "C" style hook. I would love to send it back, but I already tore the tags off before I took note of the difference.

I love this lead. I have an Akita who is blind. This lead gives me the option of allowing him to walk beside me with the longer lead or snub him up closer when I need to guide him through crowds or areas that require more careful walking. It is strong enough for a large dog - he is 80 lbs and still growing - and is soft enough that it does not create friction burns if he pulls to hard. I actually got a second lead for my other Akita because I like it so well. I would definitely recommend this to others.

I've used these double loop leashes for about 20 years now - if you have a big dog, you need a big leash. I walk three dogs with these leashes - the main loop is perfect to spread through your fingers and wrap your hand around. This is *the* leash if you have a big canine or two at home.

I have used this type of leash for 5 years. I walk 5 dogs at one time. They range in weight from 75 to 160 lbs. If a dog off leash comes at us, I can grab the loops close to their harnesses to keep them close to me, so they don't get defensive with the dog off leash.
