5Very Affordable  Mar 26, 2011 By William Bagley
I did some research on DMSO online for a friend who was evaluating DMSO as part of a Lyme's protocol. I got intrigued enough from what I found to order some for myself and was happy that I did. DMSO is a bit controversial and is not really approved for medical use. It does seem wise to read up on a number of web sites and get some sense of the what precautions for use are. This product seemed the most affordable form of the DMSO that felt safe to use for me.

It was cold when the product arrived and the DMSO crystallized. It seems that it "freezes" at a relatively higher temp than water. Oddly enough, it proved how pure this product was, because if it was only 90 percent pure, some shaking would reveal some water. It was, instead, completely crystallized and showed itself to be at least 99 percent pure. I put the bottle in a veggie steamer with the top off (so it would not get too hot) and it returned to liquid. It would rapidly freeze in the fridge so I keep it out. Although not necessary, I transfered the DMSO into a glass container.

I experimented with mixing DMSO with some Aloe gel (100 percent pure) and put it on some places in my body, including my wrists. The sites recommended a 70 percent (DMSO) to 30 percent (Aloe) mix, but I put it at about 50/50 instead and put on very little. Just one wrist the first time. One site recommended this, to experiment with a little first to see how your body reacts and to make sure that DMSO is not exposed to anything and to make sure that the skin is cleaned first. It seems that DMSO reacts to certain plastics and even dissolves them (making the resulting compound toxic).

I found that my wrists felt great afterwards and have since expanded to other areas and applied more at one time. I applied it to an old wound area from an auto accident and it seems like this is the first thing in over 30 years that shifted it into feeling better. I applied some to my back where I had a ligament tear and it also seemed to do a lot of good.

It does seem wise to look online for various articles about DMSO. Some are very positive about it and some have all kinds of warnings. But after reading about 20 of them, I found a consensus about how to use it and I found that I had a healthy respect for the product and how important it is to be a bit cautious. Having said this, I am glad I experimented with it. This is a subjective report, but it seems to be a good cellular cleaner and can jumpstart an old wound into a new healing process. One site said that it converts into MSM. I cannot verify that, but it seems accurate. It also seems to synergize with skillful MSM use. I do highly recommend that anyone take the time to research and read the excellent articles online (after you find where they are, I had to go about 6 pages deep into Google to find them), and, of course, HEED THE PRECAUTIONS.

5it works  Oct 26, 2008 By Terenzu 4 America
I had used DMSO while in college 40 years ago and had forgotten of its benefit. While at 24Hour Finess some months ago two men in the locker room were talking about something they had heard could alleviate joint and muscle pain from their pre-arthritic conditions after a "good" workout. That something was my olde friend DMSO. Now, useing this in conjuction with both condroitin sulfate and glucosamine sulfate and a few other supplements, I too am experienceing greater recovery from my workouts and better flexibility during these workouts pricipally from the addition of DMSO.

5Nothing but the best!  Sep 08, 2010 By Kasey Johnson "steelreality"
Just wanted to say that the DMSO made it to my door step in record time. Thank you for that! And it absolutely seems to work miracles. I used it on my dog who is suffering from cancer and has some pain due to her condition. She is hopping around like a pup again. I also used it on my husband who has had chronic knee pain and foot arch pain for 20+ years and miraculously within 24 hours - all pain was gone. WOW!! I am so impressed and SO IS HE!! WONDERFUL!!
