My dog wears this size collar but her head is much larger than her neck (coton de tulear) so it took a tug to get it on her. Not smart, right? because then there was no getting it off. I had to cut it off. :( Would have worked if I had gotten a larger size than a collar she would wear but I'm giving a very low rating as it would have been nice to know that in the description. Silly of me to put it on her, but poor of them to suggest a collar size that didn't give more length. Boxer, lab, etc will have no difficulty. Hope this helps.

These are fantastic collars for small breed longer haired dogs!! My puppies look adorable with the bright pink collars!!!
