We use this for our 100lb black lab and this leash does the job great! He had a really bad habit of chewing up his old nylon leashes so chain was a good choice for us. The handle is comfortable and the overall length is perfect. Overall, I would recommend this to others.

if you need a chain lead this is a good one. Has large nylon handle that will fit my hand. More durable than leather. Good quality snap. I am going to order a couple more.

We have a hound mix puppy who is 6 months old. Hes about 35lbs (so far) and chews and chews and chews! We have gone through 4 nylon leashes so far, which is why we switched to metal link. The only way to make this leash better would be a padded nylon handle. That wasn't expected so I still gave it 5 stars.
It doesn't get tangled, it isn't too heavy, and is well made.
I looked at PetCo and PetSmart and the similar leashes there were $20+ there. This one is just like the ones they carry and almost half the price!
Not sure what the other reviewers saw that caused them to rate anything but a 5. I would recommend this leash and will probably be getting another just for back-up.

My puppy started chewing on leashes, especially when tied in a room with us - we've been having a very tough time finding a toy he likes, and we can't play with him *every* single second, so he gets bored. As a chain lead, this works perfectly. He clearly doesn't enjoy the feel in his mouth, but even when he decides it's worth the discomfort, he can't do any harm to the leash. He did quickly figure out that the nylon handle was the weak spot, but doesn't seem to go after it very often.
I'm back to buy a second one so that we can keep one in the car for rides and another in the house for quiet time. He'll outgrow the need to be tied indoors pretty soon, but at this price it's worth the peace of mind in the meantime!
