I bought a Hamilton collar like this for a large dog. 120#. Chasing a squirrel in the park he came to the end of the lead and the steel ring was jerked up to the release tabs on the plastic buckle and unlocked it. Voila! Loose dog! Not something you would want to have happen around traffic or people who are afraid of dogs.
