I lost my original Grooma Pad in a barn fire, and this was one of the first things I replaced when the insurance settlement came through.
I would not ride in the summer without it. I feel it gives the horse a little more cushioning and breathing room under the saddle when riding in wamer weather. Saddle pads soaked in sweat are a thing of the past with this product.
It gets too stiff to use in cold weather.
Cleaning is a breeze - hose it down and hang to dry.

Not as soft and flexible as it's more expensive counterpart (The Dixie Midnight) but has done just as well! Does NOT rub my horse wrong and keeps ALL sweat and hair from reaching my saddle pad. Easy to clean and would recommend to anyone! Happy Trails!

ALLERGY PROBLEMS Although you would think that this product could not cause any problems, I was surprised when I had a vet come and confirm my suspicion that indeed my horse suffered from an allergic reaction to the pad. He got a really bad case of highly risen bumps (hives) all over his saddle area and his skin became more oily and dandruffy as well.
