3it worked but not fully  Jul 29, 2010
i purchased frontline for my 3 adult cats. it has worked wonders for them in the past. now when i put it on them i still see some fleas on them (the fleas die when they bite your cat). and i still see them scratching a bit but not that much. so it has helped a lot but not 100%. it's better than nothing since Advantage made one of my cats have an allergic reaction to it.

1FRONTLINE STOPPED WORKING  Jul 28, 2010
We had two or three months of success with Frontline before it stopped working entirely and we go inundated with fleas during the peak of humid summer weather. We applied exactly as directed, gave it time, but because the fleas became resistant to the toxin or because it stopped killing them quickly enough to break the life cycle, we got a full infestation despite both of our cats being treated, and regular diligent vacuuming. They are indoor only, so it wasn't like they were bringing fleas in from outside. The company shrugged and said it just takes more time. Well when your product lets the fleas get a foothold I can't wait for it to start working again! We went with a different spot treatment and Fleabusters borax powder in the carpet and now not a single flea. Never ever going back to Frontline.

5Works great, very satisfied.  Jul 23, 2010
Yes, you will still see fleas on you cat, but they are dying. People that are giving this a bad rating don't understand this. We have two cats that come and go, and have had no fleas jump on us this season. Just be sure NOT TO WASH your pet for a week before or after you apply it, and make sure you APPLY IT TO THE SKIN.

4works pretty well  Jul 17, 2010
It seems to be the best of the choices out there. It's a little bit hard to pick the right spot on the cat for application -- between the shoulder blades, as the instructions advise, and the cat can turn its head around and lick the stuff off. Too much higher and it can irritate the cat's eyes and make it foam at the mouth. Lower down on the neck, but just above the shoulder blades, seems to be most effective, and wearing latex exam gloves will keep your own skin from absorbing it. If you have more than one cat, keep them separated until the Frontline dries, or they'll lick it off each other. Finally, make sure it's really, really dry before putting any collar back on your cat. Wet Frontline can melt the plastic in a collar, causing it to adhere to the cat's fur. Not fun for the cat when the collar rotates. Basically this is about as good a product for flea control as you can find. Not perfect, but a lot better than anything else on the market. Frontline seems to be more effective than Advantage at controlling fleas both on my cats and in my house. In winter it works fine for the entire month, but during warmer times of the year it seems to be effective for about 3 1/2 weeks -- for the remainder of the month, I have itchy cats, but still nothing like they'd be without using it.

1No Longer Works  Jul 12, 2010
Frontline used to do the job, but this summer and last, other than stinging my cats when it is applied, it doesn't appear to do anything. Combing fleas off my cats everyday.
