I have used on 5 different cats so far. One long haired fluff-ball (who I primary bought it for), two medium haired and two short haired cats. It has improved look and feel of all their coats. (they are indoor/outdoor cats). It initially works best on medium to short haired felines. On the longer haired cat it was a bit stiff for a couple of days until he had been brushed SEVERAL times very thoroughly and also cleaned himself several times, but by the third or 4th day it really had made improvement in feel, "lay", and luster of his coat. The shorter haired ones only took initial and second good brushing to get good results. Can only rate 4 stars as it does have the drawback of initially (even after 10-15 min brushing, of the stiff feeling and looking coat. If you are prepared to do lot of brushing and you will be very happy with this product, if you are not looking for immediate, easy results.

Our newly adopted Siamese-Heinz 57-mix cat has a rough coat which looks oily. She grooms herself well, but for some reason her fur just doesn't look healthy.
We've shampooed her a couple of times using good quality products, and this has helped a bit, but I was hoping this leave-in conditioner would leave her looking a bit more sleek. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to do much for her except leave her smelling nice. It might work for some cats, just not for ours.
