This rake was recommended by a pet groomer. It works great and is excellent quality! I prefer the ten tooth rake for the cats, but the wider 18 tooth rake would be better for a dog.

This works great for removing the undercoat from long haired dogs. I use it on my Great Pyrenees and Border Collie. It takes out any weeds they collect and removes tangles. I love it!

Great for long coated shedding dogs Dec 09, 2010 By NJVampaholic
As a professional groomer I love this tool. It works best on long coated shedding dogs like Golden Retrievers, Collies, even German Shepards. Not really effective on Boston Terriers, Pugs, or Labs. Short coats and non-shedding coats need a different tool. I use this to pull out undercoats and to diminish lines left by my grooming tools. I would be lost without this tool, I use it more then the furminator tool.

This works better than any other comb I have had for my Sheltie who has much undercoat fur. She hates being combed, but this is a sturdy, easy to use, deep catching rake that pulls out tangles and removes matted under-fur with little problem. Like the construction as it seems it will last, rather than breaking as some of the plastic versions of pet rakes do with severe matted underfur.

After many pricy grooming sessions, we decided to look for an alternative grooming method for our 2 German Shephards. I saw this product, read the reviews and decided to purchase the Oster Professional Pet Groom Undercoat Rake. I thought, what do I have to lose. I couldn't wait to get the tool to try it on our dogs. After the first try, I was hooked and so were the dogs! It worked just like the reviews said it would. I have been so excited about the results, I have deciced to purchase this product for our family members who also have pets. It's worth the price and our dogs love being groomed by us!!!! Now our dogs have such beautiful coats; our neighbors are complimenting us on how great our dogs look. Thanks for such an amazing product.
