GREAT LITTLE CLIPPER FOR LOTS OF POODLES! Jan 18, 2011 By Cathio
We have 11 , yes 11 toy poodles. Grooming time is not fun time anymore. We like anything that makes it easier. We have been using the Conair little battery clipper for years to do the dogs feet, faces and tummies. We went through 2 of them and they lasted well. This time I wanted to try something different. I was just about ready to buy the small Wahl battery clipper when this one popped up. My son had said it had to be battery operated as he hates dealing with cords when doing these areas. But, hey , it's pink and I love pink! Seriously, it is made by Oster and we use the large Oster 45 clipper for the dogs on the rest of their fur and I know it is the best. I decided to give this one a try. So glad I did. It is so powerful and the overhang of blade is so helpful when trimming around the eyes and mouth, between toes, around inner ear,etc. Does the job much faster too. it is great! Doesn't make a lot of noise either. Can't say enough about it. Now, if they will just design one like it without a cord, that works as well, so my son will be very happy. He used this to groom one entire dog and I had to tell him it is only for certain areas as I do not want to wear it out so soon and not meant to do an entire dog. He likes it. The cord is a pain when you are grooming, he is right but I have not seen a clipper without a cord as powerful as this one is. It is a trade off. I'll take this one. Do not hesitate to buy this clipper. We have tried many over the years and this one is top notch. Remember to clean it and oil lit after every use to make it last a long time. It is important to know that the dog should be clean when you use it too so as not to ruin the blade. Oh, one of the things I noticed about it also is that it did not get hot. I have never used a clipper on my dogs that didn't. I used it a long time too. Usually I have to stop mid-dog many times for the blade to cool. Even the battery operated one got hotter than his one. Very amazing. it only got slightly warm, Oster you have a winner with this one!

My spolied rotten shih tzu wasn't affraid of this device being used on her face. It cuts fast, close and well. Highly recommend this productfor trimming your dog. And the bows were adorable.

Never knew this trimmer could be so great,until,I used it on my sweet Mei Ling. She sat so good, never once did she squirm, this is so light,easy to hold to those who have RA,as I do.

I ordered this clipper to replace an older set I had for doing my dogs paws and faces. (the replacement blade for my 3 yr old pair was $18.00, so I figured why not buy a whole new unit for $20) The very first time I used them, they wouldn't even cut my poodles paw hair. They kept bogging down and the motor sounded like it was going to die, and this was immediately after starting. I didn't feel like the hassles of returning, so I just put this blade on my older set. VERY disappointed, would not buy.
