Great rake. May 17, 2010

This rake works great. The reason for only 4 stars is that the pictured comb is not what I received, it's completely different, though it serves my purpose just fine.

I should have gotten a slicker brush, my mistake. This single row of spines stick out straight... I wish they had some curve to them to hook into the hair better.
My dog has short hair anyway & this doesn't work on him. I'd recommend this for medium length hair... I don't think it could handle long coats at all. Slicker brushes are the way to go.

I have two mutts with short haired coats. This brush does a good job removing the under coat and doesn't hurt the dogs.

Safari small tooh rate good for long double coated coats and I receommend.
